Is the door-to-door pickup service available in my area?

Beyond Travels currently serves clients across Thane, Mumbai and the wider Maharashtra region, along with Scarborough and greater Toronto. Reach out with your location and our team will confirm scheduling for your address.

Is it safe to hand over my original passport and documents to a representative?

Yes. Every pickup is logged with an itemised receipt, our representatives are verified company staff, and your documents remain traceable at every stage until they're returned to you.

Does door-to-door service cost extra compared to applying myself?

Our service fee covers document verification, expert consultation, doorstep logistics and application tracking - the value is in the time saved and reduced risk of rejection, not just convenience.

What happens if my documents are incomplete at the time of pickup?

Your advisor will flag exactly what's missing during the verification stage and guide you on how to arrange it, including a second, quick collection visit if needed, at no inconvenience to you.

Can Beyond Travels handle visas for my entire family in one visit?

Yes, our team is well-equipped to process multiple family members in a single appointment, coordinating each individual file under one dedicated advisor.

How do I track my visa application once it's submitted?

Your assigned advisor provides regular status updates directly, so you're never left checking a portal or guessing where your application stands.

What is the Schengen tourist visa?

The Schengen tourist visa is a single visa that allows Indian passport holders to travel freely across the 27 countries of the Schengen Area without border checks. One application and one approval grant access to member states from France and Switzerland to Italy and beyond, for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

How long does it take to process a Schengen tourist visa from India?

Standard processing for most Schengen tourist applications from India takes 15 to 22 working days from the date of biometric submission at the VFS Visa Application Centre. During peak travel periods (May–August and December–January), processing may extend. Beyond Travels recommends applying at least 4–6 weeks before your travel date, and applications may be submitted up to 6 months in advance.

How much does a Schengen tourist visa cost for Indians?

The consulate visa fee is EUR 80 for adults (12 years and above), EUR 40 for children aged 6–12, and free for children under 6, paid directly at the VFS Visa Application Centre. VFS logistic/service charges apply as applicable. Beyond Travels charges a professional visa assistance fee of ₹3,750 per person, with optional dummy flight and hotel reservations at ₹1,050 each.

Which consulate should Indian travelers apply through for a Schengen visa?

You must apply at the consulate or visa application centre of the Schengen country where you plan to spend the majority of your trip. If you are transiting multiple countries equally, apply through the country of your first entry. Applications are submitted through VFS Global centres across India. Applying through the wrong country's consulate can result in automatic rejection.

What documents are required for a Schengen tourist visa?

Core documents include a valid national passport (issued within 10 years, at least 3 months validity beyond return, two blank pages), two recent passport-size photographs on a white background meeting ICAO standards, a completed and signed visa application form, a personal covering letter and day-wise itinerary, an employer/introduction letter with NOC, travel insurance with minimum €30,000 coverage, confirmed round-trip flight reservations, proof of accommodation for the entire stay, and financial documents tailored to your employment profile.

How much travel insurance is required for a Schengen visa?

Schengen visa applicants need travel insurance from an approved Indian provider with minimum coverage of €30,000 / USD 50,000 / CHF 50,000 per person for the entire duration of the stay. It must cover medical emergencies, urgent hospital treatment, emergency medical repatriation and evacuation throughout the Schengen territory.

How long is a Schengen tourist visa valid?

Tourist visas are typically granted for the duration of your planned trip, up to a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180-day reference period. Validity is at the consulate's discretion based on your itinerary, financial strength and travel history. Repeat travelers with strong travel history are often considered for multiple-entry or longer-validity visas.

When should I apply for my Schengen tourist visa?

Beyond Travels recommends submitting your application at least 4–6 weeks before your intended travel date. Schengen applications may be submitted up to 6 months in advance. Early applicants enjoy more flexibility, faster appointment availability and a safer buffer for any document requests from the consulate.

What should I do if I lose my passport abroad?

Stay calm and report the loss immediately to local airport authorities or police, then to the nearest Indian Embassy or Consulate, which can issue an Emergency Certificate or replacement travel document. Photocopies, digital scans and a travel insurance policy speed up the process. Beyond Travels clients can call one team that coordinates all of this.

Does travel insurance cover a lost passport?

Many comprehensive travel insurance policies include cover for lost or stolen passports and related expenses, subject to the plan's terms. In this case the client's claim was approved for $750 USD after documents were submitted. Beyond Travels helps clients secure the right coverage before departure.

How long does a Schengen visa take for Indian travellers?

Schengen tourist visa decisions commonly take around 15 calendar days from your appointment and can extend during peak months. Applying early with a complete, correctly prepared file is the best way to avoid delays.

Why book my trip through a travel partner instead of doing it myself?

A travel partner like Beyond Travels prepares your visa correctly, secures the right insurance, and stays reachable throughout your trip, so if something goes wrong you have an experienced team acting on your behalf rather than facing it alone abroad.

Is Beyond Travels an authorised travel agency?

Yes. Beyond Travels is a government-authorised travel and visa company operating since 2013, certified by IATA and TICO, with offices in Mumbai (Thane) and Toronto (Scarborough), and a 5.0 Google rating across 75+ reviews.

What Is a Netherlands & Belgium Schengen Tourist Visa?

A Schengen Tourist Visa (Type C) is a short-stay visa that allows Indian passport holders to travel freely across all 27 Schengen member states — including the Netherlands and Belgium — for tourism, leisure, or family visits, for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. When your trip covers multiple Schengen countries, the visa must be applied at the consulate of the country where you spend the most days, or your first point of entry.

In our guest’s case, the primary destination being the Netherlands, the application was perfectly lodged at the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Mumbai — and the result? A beautifully stamped Schengen sticker visa in just 15 calendar days. This is a testament to thorough documentation, expert file preparation, and the trust our clients place in Beyond

🌍 Good to Know: With a valid Netherlands or Belgium Schengen visa, you can also explore France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and 22 other countries — all on the same visa, making it one of the most powerful travel documents for Indian globetrotters.

Complete Document Checklist — Netherlands & Belgium Schengen Visa

One of the primary reasons visa applications get rejected is incomplete or improperly prepared documentation. At Beyond Travels, our visa experts handle every document with surgical precision. Here’s the standard checklist for Indian applicants:

#	Document	Specifications
1	✔ Valid Passport	Minimum 2 blank pages; valid for at least 3 months beyond travel dates

9	✔ Proof of Employment / Business	Salary slips (3 months), leave sanction letter, or business registration
10	✔ Cover Letter	Personal statement explaining purpose, itinerary, and ties to India
11	✔ NOC (if applicable)	From employer, school (for minors), or college

⚠️ Pro Tip from Our Visa Experts: Schengen visa applications require consistency across all documents. Your hotel bookings, flight reservations, and travel dates must all align perfectly. Even minor discrepancies can lead to delays or rejection. This is exactly where the Beyond Travels expertise makes the critical difference.

Why Travel to the Netherlands & Belgium?

The Netherlands is a land of fairy-tale windmills, endless tulip fields, world-class museums, and some of Europe’s most beloved cycling culture. From the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam to the iconic Keukenhof Gardens in bloom, to the charming cobbled streets of Delft — the Netherlands offers an unparalleled blend of history, art, and modern urban life.

Belgium, though compact, punches far above its weight. As the culinary and diplomatic capital of Europe, Belgium is the home of the finest chocolates, legendary waffles, trappist beers, and medieval architecture that has survived centuries. Brussels’ Grand-Place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while Bruges is often called the “Venice of the North” for its breathtaking canal networks.

Together, these two countries form one of Europe’s most rewarding travel circuits — ideal for Indian travellers seeking culture, cuisine, history, and Instagram-worthy landscapes in a single itinerary.

We had been anxious about our Europe trip, especially about the visa process. Beyond Travels made it completely stress-free. From booking our appointment at the Netherlands Consulate in Mumbai to getting our visa approved in just 15 days — the entire experience was handled professionally. We are now ready to explore Amsterdam and Brussels, and it genuinely wouldn’t have been possible without the Beyond Travels team!
